A Minute With Pastor — 05/03/2009
There is no end to the activities to avail one’s self of today. Want sports? There’s hockey, basketball and baseball games to attend. Do you like music? There’s well-known artists at downtown venues as well as a plethora of local school concerts. Outdoor activities? There’s a myriad of parks and rivers within 30 minutes. Shopping or restaurant hopping? Just open your eyes!
Truth is we never run out of options; instead, we run short on time. Each of us is limited to a mere 1,440 minutes a day to get everything accomplished. For many, the pace of life is so hectic due to our compulsive desire to be everywhere and do everything.
Yet as you load up your calendar and schedule, how much time do you give God? Do you give Him room to interrupt or alter your plans? Is God glorified with all your busyness? Is He the priority? Make plans, but do so in jello. That acknowledges His sovereignty!
