When the first man stood back and pondered the beautiful, handmade creation of God called a wife, Adam brought forth this name for her — Eve! Why? Because she was the mother of all living (Genesis 3:20). Adam assigns to her this most amazing name due to her monumental role!
Though motherhood takes its hits from society as the world seeks to deprecate such a position, Scripture elevates it to the head of the line and identifies it as an absolutely indispensable position in the family. In fact, without the mother, there would be no family!
Moms, you are irreplaceable. Though you are often overlooked and taken for granted, you are the backbone and equalizer, the “setter of the table” and the administrator of the calendar. You make it happen, moms! It is you we salute this day, as God-ordained women fulfilling your calling as mothers!
