A Minute With Pastor – 06/20/2010
Years ago, I worked as a night watchman for Kmart. I would come in as the employees would leave. Walking the aisles during that graveyard shift, I sensed someone was always watching me. Call it guilt or insecurity, but those glass balls fixed in the ceiling made me a bit uneasy.
Wherever I went in that store, the “giant eye” followed me. Today’s reality shows follow its participants 24/7. Whether they’re sleeping or eating or involved in any activity, they’re caught on camera for the whole world to see. That’s accountability – and then some!
However, to a far greater extent, there is one eye that follows the actions of every single individual on the face of the earth at one time. Our God has His eyes on all creation and not one thing occurs outside His knowledge. In fact, He even knows what will happen before it happens. That can be comforting or fearful, depending upon where you stand! Which is where?
