A Minute With Pastor - 10/12/2008

Let’s face it.  It is far easier to point the finger at some-one else than to look in the mirror and identify the real culprit.  Look around and you will see countless examples as children blame parents, patients blame doctors, citizens blame government, employees blame employers, students blame teachers and even laypeople blame pastors.  It feels better to pass the buck than to accept any fault ourselves.

But something happened the moment you became a child of God.  When Christ enters the scene, He breaks the chains of sin and sets the captive free.  Where once you could only sin, now in Christ you do not have to sin.  Where once you chose to blame Satan and anyone else, the Lord makes it clear that only you have the choice to sin.

Watch pointing fingers.  Instead, begin an investigation of your own heart.  That’s the best place to start!
