Is it burgundy or is it maroon? Is it black with white stripes or white with black stripes? Is it half-empty or half-full? Is it live or is it Memorex? Some things in life are difficult to differentiate. They’re too close to call or, fact of the matter is, they both could be right.
But when it comes to Christianity, nothing compares. For when it comes to Christ, He is incomparable and unsurpassable. That truth, that reality, should also be what spills out of His holy people who live in a fallen world. There ought to be a noticeable difference between the believer and the unbeliever, and that difference ought to be huge.
Think about it, Christian. The God of the universe chooses to live in you through His Spirit. He chooses to take up residence and settle down in you. Make that indwelling comfortable by not sharing the throne of your heart with any other. Then, live in such a way!
