Life is filled with injustice and unfairness. Since Adam and Eve took of the forbidden fruit, the perfect life was forever gone. Pretense and deception reign.
Unfortunately, it’s not just around us; it’s also in us. Each of us can succumb to temptation as we play favorites and thus evidence partiality to certain people. When we do, we open the door to hurt and division as we rank others in importance and allow the sin of showing favoritism to creep into our heart’s choices.
Thankfully, God’s ways are so far different.
“For there is no partiality with God…He shows personal favoritism to none” (Romans 2:11; Galatians 2:6)
God’s lack of partiality is rather important when you consider your own heart and how often it has strayed. Yet God continues to keep you in His grace and does not cast you aside for someone less fickle!
