A Minute With Pastor 7/20/2008

Christ spoke these words to the church in Revelation 2:4, “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” What are some evidences that you might be wavering in your love for Christ?

  1. You go hours or days without thinking of Him

  2. Bible reading is a chore; something on a to-do list

  3. Spending time in prayer is a burden or duty

  4. You crave human companionship more than Him

  5. Your heart is not easily moved by God’s Word

  6. You measure spirituality by outward performance

  7. Your service is motivated by expectations of others

  8. You struggle to talk with others about the Lord

  9. You are resentful over the hardships of serving Him

  10. You focus on outer beauty instead of inner beauty
