Men’s & Women’s Groups
IRON MEN
As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17)
God has not called men to be “islands unto themselves” but rather, to be connected with others in the body of Christ. IRON MEN is a ministry of the local church that enables men to be encouraged and challenged to pursue godliness with other men in the body. We have four different host homes meeting at four different locations on four different days. Each group meets twice a month and is for high school age and up. Our book of study this year is, The Rest of God, a good challenge for men to have rest periods with God. The IRON MEN groups meet at these times and locations:
Monday (7:00 p.m.) in Dublin
Tuesday (7:00 p.m.) in Galloway
Wednesday (7:00 a.m.) in east Hilliard
Saturday (8:00 a.m.) in Galloway
Please call the church at 792-7775 for more information.
TAPESTRY
Each woman is a uniquely colored and textured thread, woven into a beautiful tapestry as our lives intersect with others. Each of us touches the lives of those around us–in our families, communities, workplaces and churches. As women, we have a variety of ways to ” stimulate one another to love and good works” in the body of Christ and in the world around us through discipleship, fellowship, compassion, as we anticipate His coming.
With these thoughts in mind, our Women’s Ministry at FBC is called TAPESTRY. We will meet one Friday (6:30-9 p.m.) each month for dinner, book discussion, and a time to relax and enjoy the company! Copies of the book for discussion will be available for purchase.
This Fall, we will read and discuss Mary Kassian’s recently published Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild. We invite you to become part of the Tapestry!
