Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. to discuss either a book of the Bible or a topic related to Christian living.  Here are this quarter’s electives:

     1) Introduction to Biblical Counseling (taught by Pastor Jim)

We live in a diverse world with a maze of philosophies for dealing with the issues that struggling, hurting people face.  How do you respond when a friend shares about a broken relationship?  What insight do you give to a neighbor who has a “difficult” child?  What do you say to a coworker struggling with an eating disorder?  The Bible provides us with sufficient, powerful answers!

If you’re interested in impacting others for God’s glory through God’s Word, this introductory counseling class is for you.  We will explore family relationships in the areas of marriage and parenting, and then consider the topics of self-esteem, anger and depression.  Don’t miss this time of seeing what God’s Word says about living life!

     2) The Book of 1 Timothy (taught by Bernie Iven)

Join us for a journey through this first pastoral epistle from the Apostle Paul to the local church.  We live in a day and age where what works in the world is often brought into the church and pragmatically applied.  Instead of that approach, 1 Timothy offers us a rich, theological look at God’s plan of organizing and conducting ourselves within the intimate and unique setting of the body of Christ.  Public worship, selecting church leaders, confronting sin, helping the needy, and handling riches are just a few of the topics we shall cover.  Don’t miss it!
