In March of 1986, the first meetings of what would become Fellowship Baptist Church were held, spearheaded by Les Newell, the church’s founding pastor. In the next several years, incorporation, purchase of land at our present location, and application for a building permit followed. Ground breaking for the present building began in August, 1988 and the congregation moved into the building in January, 1989.
In April of 1995, Pastor Newell resigned to continue his desire to plant and revitalize churches. Two months later, the church voted to make Jon Young its second pastor. Under his leadership, the ministry expanded and grew still further, leading to the need for more space. A loan was secured in August of 1999 and, one year later, a new addition – the Fellowship Hall – was completed in September, 2000.
In February of 2002, Fellowship welcomed Jim Stevanus as our Lead Pastor. In 2016, the church erected a new auditorium.
