Our History

1986 a.d.

In March of 1986, the first meetings of what would become Fellowship Baptist Church of Dublin were held. These meeting where spearheaded by Les Newell, the church’s founding Pastor. In the next several years, incorporation, purchase of land at our present location, and application for a building permit followed. 

1988 a.d.

Ground breaking for the present building began in August, 1988.

1989 a.d.

The congregation moved into the building in January, 1989.

1995 a.d.

In April of 1995, Pastor Newell resigned to continue his desire to plant and revitalize churches. Two months later, the church voted to make Jon Young its second Pastor. Under his leadership, the ministry expanded and grew still further, leading to the need for more space. 

1999 a.d.

A loan was secured in August, 1999, to add on to the to existing church building. 

2000 a.d.

A new addition, the Fellowship Hall, was completed in September, 2000.

2002 a.d.

In February of 2002, Fellowship welcomed Jim Stevanus as the Lead Pastor.​

2016 a.d.

In 2016, the church erected a new auditorium, the Worship Center.

2020 a.d.

In 2020 the church announced a new missional focus of aiding and revitalizing a neighboring local church in Galloway, Ohio.
