Life is hard for everyone. Although certain households have more income does not automatically suggest they have less struggles. Actually, having more money tends to invite an altogether different set of challenges that others don’t have.
The moment the Christian enters the family of God, his life incurs a significant uptick in opposition. Though delivered from the power of darkness, the leader of that darkness is not pleased. Satan will stop at nothing to combat believers.
No wonder Jesus announced this: “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:14).
Followers of Christ face this difficulty every day. Yet, as He who calls us is faithful, we are exhorted to be faithful. No matter what comes our way, He is with us and He is for us. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in this world!
