You’ve remodeled the bathroom in your home and you step back to reflect upon it. Think about how your one-room finished project stacks up with God’s entire work of creation.
You needed multiple trips to the hardware store along with many visits on your phone app while racking up quite a list of expenses whereas God simply made everything from absolutely nothing (Hebrews 11:3).
You took several weeks and many weekends to complete this one project, let alone the mental planning. God? To create the entire universe, He spoke everything into existence in six days!
You discovered, at the end of the job, that you had a number of leftover supplies and remnants of building materials. God? Nothing wasted; nothing left lying around.
You look closely and you know there are a few imperfections and slight mistakes. You see them, even if no one else does. God’s work of creation? He did everything perfectly (Genesis 1:31).
How incredible the hand of God! No wonder David the psalmist declared: “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You ordained … O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth (Ps. 8:3,9).
Marvel again at the creative work of God. Nothing else like it!
